The Wicked Word or the Lost Voice of the Spirit?

A recent article discusses a pastor's critical view of sermons produced by artificial intelligence, labeling them as "wicked." The pastor argues that AI-generated sermons lack the genuine inspiration of the Holy Spirit and fail to capture the living truth of God's Word. From a biblical perspective, true preaching is a sacred act, guided by divine revelation rather than by mechanical algorithms or human ingenuity alone.


The use of AI in crafting sermons raises profound questions about authenticity and the integrity of messages. Scripture teaches that the Bible is divinely inspired (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and that genuine preaching should be rooted in prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit. Relying on artificial intelligence not only diminishes the spiritual authority of sermons but also risks introducing error and deception into the proclamation of truth.


In these times, churches are called to uphold the integrity of biblical preaching by rejecting shortcuts that replace the work of the Spirit. While technology can assist in various ways, it must never supplant the heartfelt, inspired delivery of the Gospel message.
